Musical Education: Estonian Music Academy 1977-1986 (graduated as a composer) Berklee College of Music 1990 (post-graduate studies of jazz composition and piano) Career: Performing artist, founder and leader of own jazz group called "The Urmas Lattikas Quintet". Arranger in jazz, pop, classical styles. Accompanist for numerous vocal and instrumental performances. Extensive club and concert appearances in numerous jazz events in Estonia and abroad. Recordings and appearances in radio and television: Major Recordings and/or Compositions: A single "In A Twilight Room" and an LP "Freedom To Love, Freedom To Lose". The music is written by Urmas Lattikas and played by ULQ. Major Honours and Awards: First prize in the U.Naissoo composition contest in 1984 and 1985. |
